Dr Mustaghis ur Rehman Joint Secretary HANDS awarded with International volunteer day shield of honor and subsequently honored to get published his citation in upcoming volunteers directory who’s who of volunteers in sindh. The event celebrated on Dec 12, 2012 at Federation House arranged by the organizing committee for International Volunteer Day with collaboration of civil Society organizations and Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI).
Brief Profile of Mustaghis-ur-Rahman

Mustaghis-ur-Rahman has earned his PhD in NGO Management and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. His working experience spans over 17 years. The experiences include working with public, private, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and Universities, as program coordinator/Manager, trainer, teacher, researcher and consultant. Dr. Rahman is a McGill University/LUMS certified trainer for case development and case teaching. He has conducted several training workshops and addressed a number of seminars/conferences internationally. Recently, he has done his post-doctoral research in the discipline of SMEs at the School of Public Policy, GMU, USA.He is a Professor at the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences at SZABIST, Karachi – a private chartered University. At SZABIST, Dr. Rahman is teaching Advanced Management Subjects: NGO management, Organization Development, Strategic Management and Advanced Research Methodology to the MBA and MS/PhD classes.
Dr. Rahman was the first ever awarded PhD in NGO management in Pakistan in 2004. He was nominated for SAARC Award 2004 by the SAARC body for his research work in South Asia in 2004. The award went to Late General Ziaur-ur-Rahman, former President of Bangladesh. He is on the board of social organizations and frequent contributor to Daily Dawn (http://www.dawn.com) and refereed journals on SMEs, Social Development and Business Ethics. Dr. Rahman is frequently invited on various national and international TV channels for his comments and analysis as a social scientist. He has 36 publications to his credit (including case studies). He is a member of various national and international professional associations.
Other than teaching and program management, Dr. Rahman manages and Chairs SZABIST’s two conferences (NRC and SIRC) and brings out JISR-MSSE – a biannual journal. He is consultant to the United Nations Global Network (UNGC) for writing case studies of local corporate organizations (Indus Motors, Hinopak, Fauji Fertilizers).
