Closing Ceremony of Training of Trainers on Psychosocial care for disaster affected in Sindh was held on 5th October 2011 at a local Hotel in Karachi. A 10 days training on the issue of disaster and community development with special focus on psycho-socio care of affected and vulnerable communities was organized by HANDS with support of Basic Needs. Participants had interactive session with dynamic and committed development professionals. International trainer Mr. Steve Fisher from Australia, Mr. Ganesan and Ms. Vanee from Srilanka of basic need have conducted the training sessions. The 30 participants of all over the country from different organization attended the training as master trainers as this training is specially designed for those who have a commitment to developing their knowledge and skills in the field of psychosocial care for disaster affected communities. Chief guest of the ceremony was Haji Muzzaffar Shujra Provincial minister for relief and rehabilitation, Other honorable guests of the ceremony were Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed CEO HANDS and Syed Sajjad Ali Shah representative of PDMA.
